Woman Asks Internet If Her $80 Engagement Ring Is Acceptable
There's a lot of very mixed opinions on engagement rings. Back in the day, people would say it should be 3 months of man's salary (this is back when it was mostly men who proposed, of course) 3 MONTHS!

Nowadays, things are a little different. Firstly, people can't always afford to give away 3 whole months of earnings. There's also so many new alternatives to traditional engagement rings. Some couples opt for plain bands, for cubic zirconias, for watches and time-pieces as well as other random pieces of jewellery. There's no 'rules' anymore and people can be a lot more creative when it comes to proposals and their choices
Costume and fashion jewellery has become a lot more affordable and accessible, too, which also means you can fake having a pretty big rock of an engagement ring if you really want to.
Recently, a woman wrote into the AITA (Am I The Ass Hole) section of Reddit about her $80 Pandora engagement ring. Check out how it unfolded below.
