Although pregnancy and giving birth is a woman's job, helping a woman sail through is a man's job. I don't mean to sound sexist, but women need all the attention and care they deserve while they bring a little one into the world.
Pregnancy isn't an easy phase of life. The sudden change in food, sleep, routine, and body can wreak havoc on a woman's mind.
The outburst of hormones can make it difficult for a woman to adjust to what's coming - motherhood. Having a good partner or a caring male figure in your life can make all the difference.
If it takes a village to raise a child, it takes a village or two to help care for a pregnant woman or a new mother. It's unfair to expect that a woman alone has to go through the pregnancy and postpartum roller coaster with little to no help.
Postpartum Depression (PPD) may look invisible, but it's a serious medical condition that shouldn't be taken lightly. PPD can happen during pregnancy and can last a long time after giving birth.
Out of fear of being shunned by society, a woman might never tell you she's suffering from PPD, but she needs all the help she can get. While, sadly, not many women get the help they deserve, here are some who did.
We're thankful for these men and we pray they instill these qualities in their sons.

These men have proven that muscular hands are capable of handling delicate things. It's great that these men stepped up for the women in their lives and helped them deal with pregnancy and PPD.
As I said earlier, some women prefer not to talk about battling PPD for the fear of being shunned by society, but they need all the help they can get.
Some people overlooked a woman battling PPD, saying it's a phase, and that it's normal or that it's caused by overthinking. Know that PPD can truly prevent a woman from enjoying pregnancy and motherhood.
It's not okay to think that PPD is a state of mind. A woman battling PPD has no control over her emotions and thoughts that, in turn, prevent her from retaining her presence of mind.
If you know someone in your family who is either pregnant or a new mother, extend support to them when you can. They won't mention it, but they'll appreciate you for it.
