Sharnia-Mae Sturm who is only 22 years old, and now resides in Georgia, is the one in which we can thank for these heartfelt impressions. She hit the nail square on the head when she created the world's beloved Steve Irwin, (who we tragically lost in 2006), welcoming all of the precious animal souls that have lost their lives within the bushfire, to their place of no pain ever again, heaven. <3
And the whole world cried.
Among this tragedy, one thing is absolutely certain, Steve has the animals covered.
They're home safe, in his gracious loving arms.
Virtually meet Sharnia-Mae Sturm the sole creator of the profound animations.
There are no words to be spoken, all we can do is stare in awe. The images couldn't have been depicted more perfectly. Amidst this massive loss, there is our small beacon of comfort.
Unfortunately, the death toll for the wildlife in Australia is continuing to rise.
Sturm of course, went viral after she posted the images on both her Instagram and Facebook accounts. On New Years Eve, she wasn't celebrating the New Year like most of the rest of the world was, no, she was mourning for her country as it continued to ablaze.
Steve Irwin The Crocodile Hunter is a legend that will never truly die, especially as his children have continued to live on his legacy themselves.
Robert Irwin has been reportedly seen holding back a fountain of tears while he is seated next to his mother as they discuss the devastation that has become of Australia.
Hats off to you Sturm, you created the tiny glimpse of light in the midst of this overwhelming darkness.
Sturm posts this with her images on Instagram, you can feel her passion radiate within it.
So... it’s sad to say that I’ve spent about 3 weeks or so on this and the subject is still relevant.
This little tribute drawing goes to all the innocent animals caught in the blazes across my home country, it breaks my heart to see it’s still going on but there’s only so much that can be done to keep it from spreading. I hope all the animals who couldn’t make it are now in heaven with Steve Irwin, being taken care of, and not having a care in the world or memory of how they got there. Rest In Peace fuzzy babies, we will miss you ❤️
Of course the comments poured in..
Stum lays her heart out for the world to see.
“It’s absolutely devastating. This is by far the worst I’ve seen the fires. It’s all I see on my newsfeed, flames, dead animals, worn-out firefighters and devastated Aussies,” said Sturm. “I feel so bad for everyone, I wish I could send the Georgian rain to Australia… I do miss Australia, it will always be part of who I am.” When she was asked about how she came to create the images, she said: “My mind wandered to the animals and how they would be so confused and stressed, then this idea popped in my head,” she said. “The animals who have passed on are now safe in Steve Irwin’s arms. I really hope my drawing brings peace of mind and hopefully a relieved smile to the people who see it."
The people praise her for her pointing out what we all should've realized.
I urge you to continue to stay up to date on the bushfires in Australia.
