Artist Criticizes Today's Society With His Dark But Intriguing Illustrations

by Ayoub

“Al Margen” is a work pseudonym used by an Argentinian illustrator who criticizes the current patterns of behavior in society and reflects on neglected issues that most people don't really pay attention to. His art is dark and macabre, but it sheds a light on the unfortunate reality of modernity, which makes it so unique.

The artist's tone is provocative and it doesn't spare anything or anyone, from technology, body image, and media manipulation to consumerism, smoking, and interpersonal relationships.

"My artworks are just drawings that I imagine. The things I see around me inspire me to do them," the artist told Bored Panda.
