This six-year-old boy from Cheyenne, Wyoming, is a superhero, and that is a serious understatement! Bridger Walker protected his little sis from a hostile dog that hurt him during his brave act.
Bridger ended up with 90 stitches. “If someone was going to die, I thought it should be me,” the boy said.
People all over the world admire this young hero – even some professional superheroes. Actor Mark Ruffalo (Hulk in Marvel’s Avengers movies), reacted to the story and stated that he admired the boy’s bravery.
Even Chris Evans sent a video where he praised Bridger for his bravery. Maybe they are afraid of losing their jobs as superheroes, and they should be…
Other celebs, including Chris Hemsworth, Tom Holland, Robbie Amell, Hugh Jackman, Zachary Levi, also praised Bridger. Anne Hathaway stated: “I’m not an Avenger, but I know a superhero when I see one. I can only hope I’m half as brave in my life as you are in yours, Bridger. Wishing you an easeful recovery, and many cool looking rocks.”
This superhero’s story went viral when his aunt Nicole Walker posted it on Instagram and tagged the Avengers movie stars to inform them about a new member of their team. The unpleasant incident took place at a friend’s house on July 9.
Bridger, his sister, and their buddy went into the garden where there were several dogs. Their friend pointed to one of the dogs, saying that he is the mean one, and the dog responded by charging at them.
Bridger jumped between the charging dog and his 4-year-old sister to defend her. The dog in question was a 1-year-old German Shepherd mix.
After the dog bit him on the face, he yelled to his sister to run. The dog released him quickly after, and he took his sister’s hand, and they ran away together.
The dog’s owner quickly secured his pet, took Bridger to the house, applied pressure on his wounds, and called 911. He was rushed to the clinic, where a plastic surgeon gave him stitches.
Bridger was quickly released from the hospital, and he is now with his family. Like a real and brave warrior, he didn’t let his wounds get his spirit down.
His aunt says that their family is not angry with the aggressive dog’s owner. Quite the opposite – this incident brought the two families closer.
