Artist Creates Stunning 3-D Disney Art With Layers Of Paper

We’ve highlighted many different artists and their Disney fan art, but we haven’t found an artist quite like this before. San Francisco-based artist Ryan Riller has literally taken his fan art to a whole new level, creating layered and 3-D works of art with paper.

Arguably, Riller is a very skilled artist with traditional mediums like pencil, paper, and ink, but after taking a class from another artist, Brittany Lee, he’s stepped up his work. Now he incorporates delicately cut pieces of paper to create layered and seemingly 3-D portraits and panoramics of our favorite Disney characters.

“I was really inspired by Brittany Lee’s work after taking a class she taught in San Francisco in 2014,” Riller shared. “Paper art has become my new favorite hobby, and I’ve been practicing and experimenting with it ever since.”

Riller’s attention to detail is nothing short of remarkable. On his Instagram account, you can find practically all of your favorite Disney Princesses and their supporting characters, along with other popular pop culture characters like Wonder Woman, Daenerys Targaryen, Princess Mononoke, and Queen Amidala, AND commission work from folks all over.

The self-described “former Disney Store Ambassador,” has definitely honored the magic and wonder of Disney in his creations. I would not be surprised if he smuggled out a magic wand on his last day of being a Disney Store Ambassador, as these pieces of work are simply stunning and full of personality.
