Alyssa Milano Thankful That Her Son's Baseball Team Reached Crowdfunding Goal Despite Online Vitriol
Alyssa Milano expressed her gratitude that her son Milo's baseball team achieved their fundraising target, even in the face of criticisms online. In an X post in January 2024, she wrote:
Thank you to everyone who donated. Milo’s team’s #gofundme has reached their goal for #Cooperstown. I so appreciate your donations in the midst of the vitriol.
In the end, the team's travel fund collected $11,175, surpassing their goal by $1,175. Milano initiated the GoFundMe for her husband, David Bugliari, aiming to assist with expenses for their 12-year-old son's baseball squad.

In January 2024, Milano posted a link to the GoFundMe on her X page, urging followers to contribute to the team's trip to Cooperstown, New York. However, her social media post received criticism for seeking donations instead of financing the program independently.
Media outlets have reached out to her for a comment but didn't respond. She has since spoken up in her defense.
She posted on X, defending her efforts for the baseball team.

I’m getting media inquiries about whether I have financially contributed to my son’s baseball team. I’ve paid for uniforms for the entire team and coaches, thrown bday parties and sponsor any kid who can’t afford monthly dues.The team themselves also have fundraising efforts, shares the Charmed alum. The kids also do fundraising themselves — car washes, movie nights and many other fun things. Thank you to all who have contributed to the GoFundMe! You’ve made things easier for these boys and their families.

She hopes to do it someday, though. She actress also believes that even if she did fund the entire trip, her trolls would likely find other aspects to criticize.
Milano, amidst the backlash, showed people screenshots of what others have been sending her son. The actress expressed her dismay, stating that regardless of personal opinions, visiting her hardworking 12-year-old son's Instagram page and leaving such messages is truly upsetting.
She emphasized the importance of letting children enjoy their baseball activities without interference. For those who disagree with donating, she encouraged them not to, but for those willing to support the team's families, she expressed gratitude.
