American Kids Developing British Accents From Watching Too Much Peppa Pig
If you have a child, know a child, or have so much as made contact with a child over the past few years, chances are you have heard all about Peppa Pig.
Peppa Pig is a British cartoon phenomenon, which originally aired in the UK in 2004.
Since then, Peppa and her friends have become famous with preschoolers the world over, including, of course, the United States. But with the show being aimed at preschool-aged children, who are just in the process of developing their speech, it seems our friend Peppa has been causing a bit of an unexpected issue.
In fact, many American parents have been taking to social media claiming Peppa is causing their children to speak with a British accent.
"Anyone else's kids developing a slight British accent after watching Peppa Pig?" one Twitter user asked.

"She is also snorting like a piggy, but that is expected."

Not all parents are mad though.

I mean, who doesn't say "tomatoes" with a British accent?

It's a confusing world for a toddler after all!
