Tiktoker Shares How Her Employer Embarrassed Her In Front Of Customers For Not Wearing A Bra

A thrift store employee claims her boss publicly humiliated her and reprimanded her for not wearing a bra. The internet is furious after a TikToker recently shared a story about the bra strap regulation at her place of employment.
Riley, also known as @bappermoon on TikTok is an employee at a thrift store, and she said:
“For the longest time I would show up to work wearing a shirt without a bra. Not inappropriate in the slightest.”
But one day, when a group of elderly customers in their 60s and 70s, among them "a lot of males," were waiting to check out, everything changed. Riley claims that her boss approached her and scolded her, saying:
"All employees need to have visible bra straps when at work. You should know better.”

Of course, the tiktoker felt humiliated as this happened in front of the customers. "I never not showed up to work without a bra again. I was mortified," Riley said in a caption.
Riley questioned the new employee, who was also not wearing a bra, about whether or not the supervisors had given her the same lecture. Now, I'm not sure why the tiktoker never bothered to study this, but thanks to that new employee who did her homework, Riley finally discovered that there are no rules about bra straps in the employee handbook.

However, others are as perplexed by the regulation as you might be. “No employer should be talking about any sort of your underwear ever,” wrote @jazzy_marie_03.
Other TikTok viewers claim they would not have put up with that treatment. “So we’re told our whole lives that showing bra straps is promiscuous but all of a sudden theres a rule about showing them??” asked @cherikana.
