20 Years Ago, A Three-Year- Old Boy Promised To Marry His Girlfriend When They Get Older, And He Turned Out To Be A Man Of His Word

How could anyone forget their first love? Experiencing that feeling for the first time ever was a real trip, it confused us so much that we didn't know what to do with ourselves.

When you mix love with innocence you get the best of both worlds, and that kind of purity cannot be found anywhere else.

Most of the time, the first person you ever form a special bond with always eventually ends up fading away from your life, and just like that, you never get to see them ever again. Laura Scheel and Matt Grodsky were lucky enough to avoid that.

Matt can vividly remember standing up in pre-school and declaring his love for Laura. Let's see what happened after that.

Twenty years later, Matt kept his promise and married the girl he clearly remembers declaring his love to.

Laura and Matt created an Instagram account where they started sharing their love story and it's called 'The Way We Met'. It all started when they had their very first special moment in preschool, their relationship was so special that it was bound to end with love and marriage.

“As kids, Laura taught me how to ride the swings, draw rolling hills, and the ‘right way’ to properly eat string cheese. We have fond memories of playing hide-and-go-seek, chasing after each other on the playground, and mischievously staying up during nap time.”

Sadly, kindergarten made it hard for the couple to stay in touch considering their young age and lack of control over their lives. Luckily, they were reunited in freshman year of high school thanks to a mutual friend who couldn't wait to set them up as soon as Laura saw Matt's number on his phone.

Laura confessed on their Instagram account that she was hesitant at first but the attraction between them was still going on and lasted all of these years even though they were apart. They started a beautiful relationship in a short period of time and they kept growing stronger with time despite the distance.

In 2015, Matt felt like it was just the perfect time to pop up the question and he found the perfect place to do it, and that place is where it all began, their old preschool. Matt took her there under the pretext that they were going there to celebrate the end of their junior year of college with a beautiful romantic picnic.

“The whole car ride to the preschool she kept asking me why I seemed anxious. I kept checking my pocket when she wasn’t looking to make sure the ring was still there. I dropped down on one knee while my brother came in with the phone, snapping photos. Laura was shocked. I gave her my pitch on why I wanted her to marry me and she said yes ― whew!”
