Disney Characters Get Dark-Fantasy Makeovers In These Fan-Made Illustrations
"I took a year off to find out what I really wanted to do. I discovered art."

Elaine Ho is an illustrator of "dark fantasy and doomed love," as well as the creator behind "The Tempest and the Fire," a re-telling of Beauty and the Beast. With as much creative power as a storyteller and illustrator could possibly muster, Elaine is a force that art fanatics simply couldn't (and shouldn't) ignore.
Her Disney-inspired fan art and the artwork from her own Beauty and the Beast story are astonishingly gorgeous and the dark-fantasy element that Elaine brings to nearly all of her works of art is precisely the sort of thing that can take your breath away while you stare in awe.
If you're wondering how someone comes to create such distinct works of art, weaving stories in and outside of the illustrations themselves, here are a few things to know about Elaine:
"I graduated with a degree in Psychology and nearly sent off my application to law school. The whole process filled me with unhappiness that I couldn’t explain at the time, and I took a year off to find out what I really wanted to do. I discovered art."
Before she began telling her own stories, she was a concept artist for Universal Studios theme parks, Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi, and Disney VR to name a few. In addition to working tirelessly on The Tempest and the Fire, she's also drafting a novel and keeping her Patreon subscribers delighted with regular content.
We are positive you'll thoroughly enjoy a glimpse at her dark fantasy, Disney artwork, so get ready to gasp in awe. Support the Artist: DeviantArt | Website | Facebook | Patreon

When it comes to Disney fanart, the chances are you'll see an incredible amount of diversity and creativity while looking for what to obsess over next. Sometimes illustrators bring humor to their light-hearted work while other times they bring realistic elements to iconic, animated characters, and even further, sometimes illustrators mingle fandoms together to create cross-over Disney art.
In Elaine's case, she brings her passion for dark fantasy to her works of fan art and it's even inspired her to create an entire re-telling of Beauty and the Beast! This is truly an artist you'll want to learn more about and keep up with as time goes on, don't you think?
