We all know that children's movies are indeed made for kids, but does that mean that they are strictly for kids? After all, these movies are made by grown-ups who understand that parents make up a reasonable number of their viewers. 

There are so many adults who are so in love with animated movies that they prefer watching them to real-life characters. Moviemakers are making use of this opportunity to chirp in something for them as well.

So it simply seems okay that they'd sneak something in for the parents as well. Some of these are references that only adults would understand and children wouldn’t.

Lately, producers have gotten much better at making movies made for children appeal to adults as well. They usually do this by inserting different jokes and references here and there that the typical kid will not be able to understand.

When the kids grow older and happen to rewatch their favorite animated movie, then they may just get the joke. There are too many to choose from, but these are only a couple of adult jokes that the kids won't ever get.
