This Fan Artist's Collection Of Favorite Disney Villains Is Honestly Fantastic

You can easily expect a lot from an artist whose favorite cartoon characters of all time are "Vegeta, Piccolo, Frollo." In all honesty, that's probably a combination you've never seen before, I certainly haven't.

Still, that probably explains a lot about a skilled and talented artist who has a 20+ gallery of Disney villains re-made in her style and vision! Which is exactly what "Grincha" has done.

The 30-something Mexican artist is a fan of Jim Carrey, The Lord of the Rings, Dragon Ball, Disney, and Jurassic Park, to name just a few things that have inspired this illustrator over time to create fan art. Actually, she's such a huge fan of Jurassic Park that she has an entire YouTube channel dedicated to all things JP called The Jurassic Park Collection.

Still, you're here today for the same thing I am: Disney villains. We see so many Disney fans re-create princesses, heroes, heroines, and sidekicks, we're pretty sure that the villain fan art market is severely under-represented, and that is to no fault of Grincha! These are just a few Disney villains, because she only wanted to create ones she liked and skipped sequel villains... we can respect that.

Check them out!

1. Monstro - Pinocchio

The movie Pinocchio actually features four protagonists, and Monstro the man-eating whale is the last of them.

2. Chernabog - Fantasia

"Chernabog from the Disney movie "Fantasia" in "Night on Bald Mountain" This one was inspired from a painting I saw at Disney World, took a photo and saved it"

3. John Silver - Treasure Planet

"This is by far, the hardest villain I've done!! Man he's such a complicated character -his arm!! HIS ARM!!! is so aaaahhh"

Long John Silver is a cybernetic pirate captain in Treasure Planet.

5. Scar - The Lion King

Scar, the main antagonist of The Lion King, is Mufasa's brother and Simba's uncle. Scar is embittered when he loses his spot as next in line to be king when his nephew is born.

"As one of Disney's most infamous villains—made especially notorious for his success in murdering Mufasa, Scar is a primary member of the Disney Villains franchise."

8. The Firebird - Fantasia 2000

According to Cornel1801:

"Walt Disney described the art of animation as a voyage of discovery into the realms of colour, sound and motion. The music from Igor Stravinsky's ballet, The Firebird, inspires such a voyage. And so we conclude this version of Fantasia with a mythical story of life, death and renewal."

9. Frollo - The Hunchback of Notre Dame

In The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Judge Claude Frollo is the main antagonist and the sort of human that our nightmares are still made of well into adulthood. He is one of the most vile villains in all of Disney's story-telling.

10. Shere Khan - The Jungle Book

Shere Khan is a powerful Bengal tiger in The Jungle Book, notoriously feared by all the other animals in the jungle. His fear of guns and fire leads him to deeply hate mankind.

Disney fans have an interesting relationship with Disney villains. The villains serve an obvious purpose in the stories we love most, and some of them are even too interesting and fascinating to hate!

Other Disney villains are so evil we could never feel anything other than hate... or could we? Cruella De Vil is often considered the worst villain of all time, the most evil... and yet Disney gave her a live-action movie with a complicated backstory.

Why does Disney have to do this to us when it comes to villains? Let the evil villains stay evil.

We're dying to know who your absolute favorite, diabolical Disney villain is... whether they've been featured or not! There's more than plenty of Disney villains to choose from, and they all have their own story to tell, don't they?

We can only speculate how long it is before Disney moves towards giving the next villain on their list a live-action backstory... is there any villain you'd love to see featured that way? We're thinking Yzma, honestly.
