Man Feels Guilty For Ditching His Parents' Anniversary Dinner In Order To Tend To The Wife
This is kind of a tricky situation but your own family comes first regardless

Any couple's wedding is a significant occasion since it brings the couple's loved ones together to share in their joy and happiness. Wedding anniversaries are also ideal occasions to commemorate a couple's love for one another and the pleasure they derive from being in each other's presence, despite the difficulties of marriage.
Wedding anniversaries are often celebrated in meaningful and significant ways because it is seen as an important occasion in most cultures. Couples are reminded of their commitment to one another, and a lot of time and effort is frequently put into finding the ideal present that will be symbolic and significant for the happy pair or one's partner.
The parents of the OP in today's story are having their 25th wedding anniversary. So they planned a special dinner at a very nice restaurant and invited everyone in the family, including the OP's wife, about a month in advance.
Mind you, the OP's wife just gave birth to twins a month before the invite, so they decided that they would just get a babysitter so that they could attend. However, the OP's mother-in-law passed away, and his wife was shattered as it was just her and her mom while growing up.
The OP called his parents to tell them of the situation, and they said they understood only for a different tune to play out later on. Keep scrolling to read the full story.
