Dog Thinks 'Oops' Is A Cue Word For Him To Get Food Because He Starts Searching For Food Every Time He Hears It
Heinz has one very specific weakness, and it is food. The playful dog loves naps, games, and especially anything that might end up on the floor.
His mom, Karyn Dietz, says he is usually on the lookout whenever someone is cooking or eating, and that habit made one tiny word stand out. When Dietz said “oops,” Heinz immediately started searching for a snack, as if he had heard a dinner bell.
That one reaction turned into a family mystery with a very funny answer.

“I realized a few months ago that he is triggered to at least look up or come to check for food if I say ‘oops,’ ‘dammit,’ or ‘shit,’” Dietz told. “He watches like a hawk when we eat popcorn.”

This “oops” food-alert behavior is oddly similar to the mystery behind the boof sound dogs make.

Heinz is a very intelligent and observant dog; that is why he has picked up that when someone uses these words, they must have definitely dropped a food item. He takes it upon himself to investigate and help clear it up as well.
To preserve this action of Heinz, Dietz recorded the moment when the word 'oops' was uttered, and he came running into the kitchen.

“I set him up for this video because what actually happened moments before was that I legitimately said 'oops,' and he came bouldering down from upstairs,” Dietz shared.
These words are like magic for Heinz, as they refer to the thing he loves the most: food. His family may need to think of some other words if they want to keep Heinz from barging in every time.
