21 TV Shows And Movies With A Main Theme Dedicated To Celebrating Female Friendship
Going back to history, women going ahead to support other women hasn't been celebrated enough or given that much attention. Female characters in Hollywood are often portrayed as disloyal, flighty, and catty friends who seem to care more about getting a man than strengthening their bonds with other women.
Well, at least, that is the very thing we've been persuaded to think. In any case, a good number of television programs and films are showing true celebrations of female friendships and the fantastic bonds that can be built between ladies who love and back one another up unequivocally.
A few of these films are hilarious comedies, while others are tragic dramatizations, but they are all lovely depictions of female companionship. Rather than focusing on films and series that undermine the power of the phrase "girlfriend," we want to highlight those that provide us with much-needed friendship goals.
After all, it is usually women who give the most empathic and intuitive types of friendship and support, and that is something we could all use a greater amount of. These films and shows, whether absurd and completely engaging or profound and provocative, all provide significant inspiration in the friendship section, and we’ll be happy to keep rewatching them again and again.
