Over the last couple of years, women named Karen seem to have gotten a pretty rap. We use the term 'Karen' for any woman who is above 45 and is acting particularly irritating.
The same can be said for the term 'boomer'. Boomer though more of a uni-sex interchangeable term can be used as a blanket terms of anyone over a certain age who is acting in an irritating, old-fashioned or combatively conservative way.
While both these terms were coined by millennials for older individuals, boomers and Karens are now being joined by Jessicas, a much younger but equally as annoying counterpart.
