Unlike parenting younger children, parents must deal with adult children much differently.
Parents may be unable to discipline their children in some ways, like taking away their toys and devices or grounding them. Yet, in some peculiar cases, other ways exist to express displeasure for their actions.
We found a story on the AITA community on Reddit highlighting one of these ways.
OP shared that he and his boyfriend were very affectionate people. However, they had reduced their displays of affection because OP’s boyfriend’s brother was uncomfortable with it.
Yet, when OP’s brother got a girlfriend, he didn’t hold back on displaying his affection for her. OP and his boyfriend then decided they, too, wouldn’t hold back anymore.
Things came to a head one movie night when everyone, including OP’s boyfriend’s parents and brother, was cuddled up with their partner. OP’s boyfriend’s brother then started throwing a fit, stating he wouldn’t allow OP and his boyfriend to express their love in his house.
His parents did not support his actions, so they threw him out of the house, leaving him homeless.
