Everyone loves to talk because that is one way to express their feelings. As humans, if non-living things started having conversations between them, it would be so weird to witness.
In fact, it would make sense only to the other non-living item they are talking to. And since they cannot move by themselves, all they can talk about is their surroundings and themselves, of course.
