Woman's Family Is Pressuring Her To Move On After The Loss Of Her Husband So Her Kids Could Have Two Parents

We can't imagine living in a family like this lady because we'd react the same way as her.

Welcome back to another Reddit post from the AITA thread that we love covering so much. If you're a regular reader, then you know that we often cover these posts a lot.

Ultimately this thread is used for people that just need some advice and unbiased opinions from people that have no idea who they are. They are usually pretty entertaining, and they have a lot of comments, usually from people giving their perspectives on it.

We are covering a post today that was submitted by a woman looking for advice on whether or not she is wrong for telling her family to mind their business. The reasoning, though, it probably nothing that any of us would have thought.

Ultimately, OP lost her husband, and her family is pressuring her to find another husband or partner in her life. We can't blame OP for acting the way she did, but we want to see what the people in the comments really had to say.

OP starts off her post by explaining what her relationship was like with her husband and how her family is when things like this typically happen.

She gives examples of many family members that quickly moved on after losing a loved one.

However, she disagrees with their choices and feels as though she is not ready to move on and it's not right for them to bring people around for her.

It seems like her family's morals and just overall decision making skills are absolutely gone because the things they said to her are ridiculous.

She ended up telling them to mind their own business and basically that she'd do as she pleases when it comes to her love life.

People automatically started voting NTA (obviously) and many people told her to grieve as long as she wants and however she wants.

Her family is definitely completely out of line and they are truly crazy to think that is the way to having a good family or that's the best benefit to her kids.

This is probably the weirdest family tradition that we've ever heard of and it's definitely close to one of the sickest because I can't imagine losing a spouse and then quickly getting back in the game and remarried. We don't blame OP.

I think that if her family wanted an established support system around her kids then they should create that system, not bring random guys to meet her to get her a partner.

She has complete control over her life and her family is going to have to just deal with it.

This is an interesting story about a very sensitive subject. We truly can't believe that OP's family was expecting her to do this because it's a pretty messed up thing to do and expect her to carry on.

We don't blame her for telling them to mind their business because she has complete control over her life and choices despite how they feel.
