Redditors Pass Their Verdict On A Woman Who Wants To Give Up Her Nephew To A Foster Home

by Maryjane 2 weeks ago

When we lose any member of the family, and it happens that they have kids who now have no one to cater to, it can be twice as hard. On one hand, you are grieving your loss, and on the other hand, you’re looking after the young ones that the deceased left behind.

This is the situation that the Redditor in today’s story had to deal with. She went to the AITA subreddit community to share her story and seek the verdict of other Redditors, even though she knew she might be the a**hole here.

Well, according to the 32-year-old Redditor, she lost her brother years ago, and not so long ago, her SIL died in an accident. Both of them left their 12-year-old son behind, and the question now is, who is going to take care of the kid?

The OP’s parents are already in their late 70s and the OP is autistic, adding to the fact that she has no interest in having a family, plus she’s not good with kids. Now, the OP has been taking care of her nephew since the accident, and it hasn’t been easy for her.

The boy’s custody has not been decided yet, but if she were to decline, then the kid might be headed to a foster home. Read on to find out how the story unravels.
