Guy Doesn't Want Wife To Name Their Son After Her Brother Because His Name Would Be Charles Manson
Welcome back to another Reddit post that we'll be looking into today. These posts are usually posted on Reddit by people who are looking for an unbiased opinion or advice from people that don't know them or anything about their situation.
Sometimes it's just best to get some advice from people who don't know anything about you as it's hard to choose a side and see things clearly from inside the situation. So we often like to see these posts and look into their situation, plus take a look at all the best comments on them as well.
With this being said, today we are looking at a post that was submitted by a man who is looking to see if he's wrong for not wanting his wife to name their son after her deceased brother. Ultimately, the name issue is only because of what the name would be, which is Charles Manson.
Most of us don't blame him for not wanting this, but he wants to see if he's in the wrong for not wanting this or if his reasoning is justified. So let's dive in and take a look at the entire post, plus all of the best comments that were submitted there as well.
OP starts off his post by explaining what his last name is and why it would be a problem with what she wants to name their son.

This is where he goes into details of what his son's name would be and if he's wrong for not wanting her to name him that.

This person said that the dad is just protecting the kid and that he should die on this hill because of how bad the name is.

These people had a lot of opinions on why he shouldn't name their kid that and what is wrong with that name in general. People are concerned with how the kid will be treated.

This person helped to lighten the mood a little bit by making this joke and it turns out that OP actually found it quite funny.

Many people did agree that he was NTA though because of the way that he's handling this. He's trying to protect his child and he knows the potential things that could happen because of this.

OP also replied to a few comments that stated that this is pretty much the same as using Adolph. However, he says that it's a little bit different.

They also gave him some ideas on keeping maybe her bother's middle name instead but ultimately just deciding on the best name for him that still resonates with her brother.

This person even said that they probably shouldn't use a middle name as Charles and maybe they should just decide to change it all together.

This comment said it best because it gave us perspectives for many things and helped us to understand maybe what kind of life his kid would have if they named him this.

People basically said that OP was NTA and that he's thinking about all of the necessary things when it comes to naming his kid. He's trying to save him and we just hope that they can come to some sort of compromise.
We understand both sides so we just want them to find a name that'll satisfy them both.
