In entertainment, surprises often come from the most unexpected places. One such surprise involves the famous band Oasis and the pop star Robbie Williams. The Gallagher brothers from Oasis and Robbie Williams have recently made headlines for a new and unusual project.
Oasis, a band known for its powerful music and the famous Gallagher brothers, Liam and Noel, had a major falling out in 2009. The two brothers had a huge argument, which led to Noel leaving the band. Since then, they have been distant.
But recently, they’ve set their differences aside for a particular reason: their mother, Peggy. She played a big part in bringing them back together for an extensive tour in the UK and Ireland, and fans were thrilled to see them back together.
But there's an exciting twist. Even though the Gallagher brothers and Robbie Williams have had their share of disputes, they ended up in the same film.
Better Man is a biopic about Robbie Williams that premiered at the Telluride Film Festival on September 2. It was directed by Michael Gracey, who also directed The Greatest Showman. The film explores the highs and lows of Robbie Williams’ life.
The twist here is that despite their history, Liam and Noel Gallagher appear in the film. The Gallagher brothers and Robbie Williams have had a rocky relationship. In the 1990s, they often exchanged insults. Robbie even challenged Liam to a boxing match during the Brit Awards 2000, offering £100,000. Noel Gallagher once called Robbie "that fat dancer from Take That," which caused a lot of tension.
What makes this film even more unusual is that Robbie Williams is portrayed by a CGI chimpanzee in some scenes. This creative choice comes from Robbie Williams’ comments about feeling like a performing monkey during his career. Director Michael Gracey used a CGI chimp to reflect how Robbie sometimes saw himself, adding a unique touch to the film.
The feud between them has been going on for nearly 20 years!
Things went awry when Noel Gallagher publicly disparaged Robbie, but Robbie got his own back when he sold out three nights at Knebworth Park, just after Oasis had sold out two nights there in 1996.
Robbie reportedly sent Noel a pair of tap dancing shoes with a note: “Dear Mr N Gallagher, you said two nights at Knebworth is history. Well, I guess three is just greedy. Yours, Rob. PS: I am finding it difficult to find adequate support for my show. What are you doing on the 1st and 2nd? Oh, and the 3rd?”

Robbie Williams has talked about how he used to think he was invincible because of his heavy drug and alcohol use. Noel Gallagher has also discussed his struggles with cocaine, and Liam Gallagher has expressed regret over his past behavior, including his issues with drugs and alcohol.
