People That Found Interesting Objects Left In Buildings By The Previous Owners

I am so ripping my house apart looking for something cool from the previous owners.

History is all around us and we know this because the place where you may be standing or sitting at right now might be the spot that someone got married or even drove a huge military tank through. 

It's crazy and exciting at the same time to think that you are at the very spot that something huge or amazing happened and most of the time you won't even know it. But we all have walked into an old building and just felt the history that was lurking there.

And no I'm not talking about ghosts or anything like that, I'm talking about that feeling and smell where you just know this place is old and something truly happened. Well, sometimes you don't get that feeling or smell, but you just might come across something interesting like these homeowners.

They found anything from trap doors to secret compartments in the bathroom and it had things in that the previous owners forgot there. How amazing is that? To find a little piece of treasure in your own home.

1. They pulled up the carpet and found this.

2. Dad and child found a trapdoor when they were moving things in.

13. The house was flooded and that is how they found this old hippie mural.

14. This person's house is a old police station and it even has the old cell doors but it is just painted now.

20. They unconvered this at a Time Square construction site.

22. This house still has the original well as a feature.

23. "These "Tom and Jerry" type mouse holes gnawed in a house built in 1741."

24. This person only realized now that their back door handle is a spoon.

25. They just moved into this house and made a huge discovery.

26. Apparently in the 1950's it was okay to dispose of your razor blades through the wall.

27. Renovating their basement and found this on the wall behind the cement.

28. "Found this 20-year-old promise hidden under the wallpaper in our new house."

29. "Friend tore down his wall for renovations and found this mural on another wall behind it."

30. This house still has it's old light switches from when it was constructed.

31. The building has the original 1909 electrical switches.

32. "This mail slot in a building I was in today sends the mail down 17 stories to the basement. Original from 1929."

33. A chain is embedded in the wall of this person's 1930's era home.

34. The house used to be a bank so now they use the vault as a basement.

35. "The fan in my toilet (probably from the 70s) has the same logo as beats by Dre."

36. They were house sitting and noticed that the guest room has a shower in it.
