Delusional Step-mother Attempts To Kidnap Her Step-Daughter's Baby After Claiming Him To Be 'Her Baby'
It’s a common fact that family members share a lot of things. That kind of sharing goes overboard sometimes that it crosses multiple personal boundaries.
A Redditor shared a nerve-wracking story about how her step-mom tried to walk away with her baby after several attempts to stop her.
A little backstory from OP. OP’s step-mom married her dad when she was 15 years old and has gotten along with her well since then.
A couple of years passed and her step-mom found out that they were expecting and things started to escalate. Everyone was happy for OP and her boyfriend except the step-mom who was making excuses about how unprepared they were.
Even with the reassurance that they were going to be fine, OP’s step-mom insisted that she should have custody of the baby. It has gotten to the point where she became relentless and OP decided to shut her out.
OP’s dad tried to make her step-mom understand what her actions have caused and she apologized to OP. They decided to give her another chance and things were going fine until OP’s step-mom tried to push her boyfriend to propose.
This wasn’t in the plans of OP or her boyfriend and she started to catch on. And it only got worse from there.

OP and her boyfriend talked it out. The step-mom on the other hand was given another chance after OP’s dad lectured her once again.
They gave her the benefit of the doubt but the peace was short-lived. OP finally gave birth to her but according to her step-mom, it was “her baby”.
This made OP apprehensive about letting her visit the baby or accept her plea to have the baby over the weekend. This made the step-mom jealous since she couldn’t visit while OP’s mother-in-law can.
OP’s dad revealed that the sudden change of personality might stem from the miscarriage she had in the past. He promised to get her some real help though.
Fast forward to a lot more conflict which involved OP’s dad lecturing the step-mom about her wrongdoings and line crossing, OP had a week where she was mostly alone with the baby. The step-mom dropped by with an excuse that she needed to pick up something.
