One such artist is Kubbs, a digital creator on Instagram, who makes plenty of amusing and relatable comics about mental health issues, the little things we experience in life, and just everyday situations.
And much like many artists out there, he was inspired by the work of others at a young age:
"Surprisingly, I remember my first experience with a comic very well. Actually, it was a little Donald Duck strip in my father’s newspaper. During our family breakfast, little Kubbs noticed there some funny-looking pictures with bubbles filled with text.
At first, it was very confusing, since I could barely put letters together (it’s not like I can do better now), but my father sat me down beside him and started to explain what was going on - I got hooked immediately. Since then, my journey with comics started and I've been reading them until today.
Apparently, consuming wasn't enough for me so I started to experiment and do something on my own. Wow! What an original story, I know," he said.
Since his early days though, he has created quite the fan bays of loyal and supportive people. And to that, he says:
"It brings real joy to me when I can share my works with others - rather it's a comic or a cartoon. The feedback I got from my audience is very encouraging and keeps me going. I consider myself a small figure in the webcomic area, but happy with every person who sees my works as relatable and vulnerable. Thank you all!"
