War is to be afraid to leave some houses because it's dangerous and that someone can die at any moment. War is to capture fear and violence forever in your thoughts.
And war is to know the truth—because, at the end of the day, the victims all deserve to know what's really happening in their nation, most especially at the present time where connection to the outside world via the Internet can be easily cut off.
That being said, knowing all the truth about the Russia-Ukraine conflict is important, whether or not you are a Russian or a Ukrainian. One of the most unfortunate things that happened when Russia invaded Ukraine is that fake news and rampant disinformation also began to take effect, trying to steal the spotlight away from the fact that Ukraine has already been invaded.
Most people in Russia are only aware of the things that their local and national media filters to be heavily biased, so they don't really have an idea of what is truly happening. Add to that, access to Facebook and Twitter has been blocked in their country, so reading updates about what's happening to the two countries has been really hard.
To fight back the black propaganda of spreading sugarcoated lies, people all over the world came together in helping others learn how to recognize fake news and what's true, and even if the Russians don't have access to the mainstream media due to the war, people have come up with more genius and creative ways in spreading the truth. After all, they deserve to know why or why shouldn't they support Putin's invasion of Ukraine.
With love for humanity, people share tips online on how to identify posts that are purely there for distraction and even use dating apps and Google reviews to educate Russians through the media outlets that they can access.
People have decided to use Google reviews in disseminating information about the Russia-Ukraine conflict, so that victims who don't have access to social media would still be able to receive updates.
