The launch of Woolworth's Lion King Ooshie collector promotion has encouraged shoppers to compete in order to finish their collections first. 

The first 'super rare' furry Simba Ooshie was auctioned on eBay on Thursday starting at a whopping $10,000, which made a lot of people doubt that it would even sell. In spite of that, five days later it ended up getting sold for ten times the original amount.

The final price proves how sought after these Ooshies are, also let's not forget the fact that only 100 of the rare furry collectibles are available in Australia.

On the listing, 108 bids were made over five days and the 'Furry Simba' ended up getting sold for a whopping $99,900.

A lot of people were quick to ridicule the listing and were sure that a plastic toy would never get sold for 10 grand, but they obviously had no idea how dedicated these buyers are. They have a lot of money are they're perfectly willing to spend large sums of it on these Ooshies.

After this sale, the remaining 'Furry Simba' Ooshies have become even more attractive and a lot of people have already begun the hunt for them considering how much they could fetch on eBay.

August 13 will mark the end of the Woolworths Lion King promotion or until they run out of stock.
