Friends Ask Redditor To House And Puppy Sit For Them But Fail To Mention The Puppy Isn't Trained At All
Friends are like a second family. Not so rarely, they support us even more than our own family.
So having close friends who are always there is a real blessing. You can never have too many good friends.
But even one close friend is enough for you to know that you have someone to rely on whenever you need it. You can be sure that your friendship is pure and honest and can bear anything.
Or, better to say, it is supposed to be like that. Friendship is like any other relationship, if you want it to work, you need to be open and aware that the other person wants only the best for you.
And that dilemma recently plagued one Reddit user. Redditor explained they like sitting dogs and houses for their very good friends.
This time, they agreed to help their friends while they were away for two weeks. But a couple of problems and concerns arose while they were dog and house sit for their friends.
One of them is their dog's behavior. They failed to train their eight-month-old puppy, and the OP says it's really necessary for both their friends and the puppy.
A Redditor wondered if they should talk to their friends when they get home about those issues or keep quiet so as not to accidentally offend them.
Here's the OP's concern:

It wasn't the first time OP had been sitting dog and house for their friends:

But this time, it was so exhausting:

OP considered if they should talk to their friends about that:

But the OP also believes that conversation might offend their friends,

but still:

OP explained further:

"If you want the best for your friends AND the puppy, then you should tell them your suggestions"
"Dog training is the act of teaching a dog particular skills or behaviors. Dog training includes teaching a dog to react to particular commands and cues as well as to act independently by deliberately changing their natural behavior." Wikipedia

The OP explained:

"You are friends, and friends should be honest with each other."

"I think this depends on how you approach it."
"Dog training usually involves basic obedience training to establish control over the animal and can then progress to more advanced specialist training." Wikipedia

OP already had a plan for a potential conversation:

Another Redditor advised them to modify it a little bit:

And the other one wanted to help also:

"Tell them that the dog's behavior problems are too much to handle and that you won't watch the dog again until she's had training"

In the end, all Redditors agreed that OP should be honest with their friends and talk about the issues that had been bothering them. Otherwise, they could find themselves in an uncomfortable position again.
