Woman Asks For Help After People Make Fun Of Special Needs Workers At Denver Pizza Store
Depending on a variety of factors, employment for individuals with disabilities can be difficult to find. Luckily there are brilliant businesses that are quickly making this a thing of the past.

One of these businesses is a Denver pizza place, cleverly named Pizzability. Pizzability was founded by Tiffany Fixter. This business is completely staffed with people with disabilities.
During her time as an special education teacher, Fixter saw the need for more businesses focusing on the employment and training of adults with disabilities.
Despite the impact this pizza place has had on the local community, some still choose to be hurtful towards the place, solely because of its purpose and now this (along with strong competition) is harming its sales.
However, one individual online is hoping to help this brilliant business become as popular as it should have always been.
Struggling business
Despite its brilliant concept and great location as well as being well liked in the local community, Pizzability is struggling to keep its doors open.
“Everybody on my staff has an intellectual or developmental disability,” Fixter told Denver 7 news. “We have people that are blind and deaf. They have autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy.”
The stores likability in the local community, whilst great, is not going to keep it running into the future.
“People think we’re really successful and that’s great,” Fixter said. “But, I don’t know if we’re going to make it.”
A summary of the problem...
Local journalists, Tori Mason clearly spells out the issue stating that the business’s issues are also due to rude remarks and blind hatred.
Support them.
How terrible!
This negativity really goes against what this business stands for at its core which is inclusion of all... and a love of pizza of cause.
Not the only venture
This is not Fixter’s first business with the goal of disability training and employment. In October 2016 she has also opened Brewability lab. This business has six beertenders. Since many of them cannot read the selections are colour coded.
“I wanted something where they could feel purposeful,” Fixter told craftbeer.com.
Much of what has been made by Brewability has been tasted by the customers at Pizzability.
The reviews
More people need to look at the reviews and judge it on that.
“Amazing food! Huge slices with tons of flavor! The staff are incredible, so genuine and helpful, makes you feel very comfortable!!!”
“You won’t find better customer service at any other restaurant out there! 10/10 would recommend to anyone who lives near or visits Denver! You can’t miss out on this gem!”
A great idea.
Hopefully this has shone a spotlight on this brilliant business and has convinced you to check it out for yourself...
