Giant Alien-like Creature Washes Up On The Beach Of New Zealand, Inspires Redditors To Share Other Mysterious Things Found On Beaches
The world is brimming with various life forms, including plants and animals. Scientists have even estimated that there are about 8.7 million animal species living on Earth.
Although scientists have been able to arrive at this number, there are still 7.5 million species that haven't been discovered.
Over time, there have been talks of various life forms existing outside earth, and while this notion has been thoroughly fed by movies and books, there have also been scientific investigations into it.
In fact, finding unmistakable evidence of active life on a planet outside of the earth’s solar system is the ultimate objective of NASA's exoplanet program.
These inquiries into the world outside of earth have existed for a long time. However, these investigations don't always get the same reactions from people.
For some, it's a welcome probe, while others believe it would be foolhardy to call aliens' attention to the earth.
Whether they want to or not, however, the people of New Zealand may have the answer to the age-long question of whether aliens exist or not. They found an unknown creature washed up on the beach shores of Muriwai, Auckland, New Zealand.

According to a local named Melissa Doubleday, she was walking along Muriwai beach road, Auckland, when she first saw the giant creature standing on the shore.
The big question
Melissa Doubleday / FacebookAs Doubleday had never seen such a creature before, whether physically or virtually, she had questions about it. She asked on a Facebook group: “I was driving and came across this. Does anyone know what it is?”.
The question garnered much speculation, with many assuming that the creature is a Maori canoe, a monster from the 1980s TV show “Under the mountain.” In contrast, others believe it is a ship’s hull, and some unsurprisingly think it’s an alien.
A possible connection?
Anna Redmond / FacebookWith a closer look at the creature, one would see that it looks like giant wood with barnacles. Yet, people wasted no time in proffering different identities for the creature.
For most people in New Zealand, the creature is a reminder of the New Zealand coast scene after a 7.8-magnitude earthquake raised the sea floor by 2 meters and made the bottom layer visible.

Prior to 2010, the plane was hidden beneath the sands of the Gwynedd coast; however, erosion of the beach and the seabed exposed the wreckage.
To prevent vandalism, the location of the downed fighter jet has been kept hidden.
