I think we are all ready to kick 2020 out and move in with 2021 and some optimism for a change, but before we do that we're all desperately hoping that we can finish off the year with a holiday season that isn't totally garbage. So, what are the 2020 Christmas tree trends?
Every year people spend a little more money on one of their favorite traditions but not everyone has the space for an Evergreen, real or fake. For a long time alternatives have been sought but the small trees and Peanuts trees really just don't hit the same anymore, do they?
That's where Succulent Christmas trees come in. The petite creations are being sold on Etsy, and while they aren't cheaper than buying a big boy from the nursery, these succulents are seriously adorable and perfect for making a small but mighty statement this season.
Amanda Ryan runs the Etsy shop TerracottaCornerFL, which is one of the most popular places online right now to get a Succulent Christmas tree.
All of the trees available on her site are made with real succulents, crafted by hand with love.
This one is The Alpine Succulent Tree and it was created “with nearly 50 haworthias and a dozen colorful succulents including echeverias, graptoverias, sedums, and more.”
This one, Aurora Succulent Tree, is “adorned with nearly 25 gorgeous Echeverias.”
Featured in the description on Etsy, the shop encourages you how to enjoy your succulents post-holiday craze:
“Once the succulents outgrow the tree or the season is over, just pluck, plant, and enjoy the succulents for many years to come!”
The Succulents cost around $130 and Amanda's shop has been open on Etsy since 2010, selling to over 3,000 satisfied customers.
But that's not the only place online to nab the concept, succulents are hot right now (figuritively, not literally.)
RileysOasis is another Etsy shop selling Succulent Christmas trees!
RileysOasis offers more vibrant colors and two different sizes to choose from, 7 inches tall or 10 inches tall.
The description of this stunner reads:
