There are several races worldwide, and America is home to most of them.

Currently, the Census Bureau recognizes five races; white, black or African American, American Indian or Alaska Native, Asian, and Native Hawaiian or Pacific Islander. However, further research may prove that there are more.
With each race comes a different tradition or unique attribute. While some individuals may be tolerant of others' unique features, it’s common to find those who aren’t.
This is exactly why racism remains a problem in today’s world. Thankfully, the world is becoming more conscious of what counts as racism.
We found one Redditor who wouldn’t allow any form of racism to slide.
OP shared on the Reddit AITA community that her family had ordered some Chinese food for dinner. But When the delivery driver came over, her son made a stereotypical joke.
The delivery driver heard him and was visibly upset. OP apologized for her son’s behavior but decided to take things even further.
She spoke to her son and schooled him about what he had done, but he didn’t feel remorseful, as he didn’t feel like he was wrong.
OP then forced her son to write a one-page paper on Chinese culture and an apology letter, which he had to read to the delivery driver. Interestingly, the driver appreciated the apology and decided to indulge OP's son in a conversation about his daily struggles with racism.
There was just one problem; OP’s husband wasn't in support of this form of discipline, as he felt it was overly embarrassing. Confused that she might have overreacted, OP decided to ask the AITA question on Reddit.

OP decided to bring the matter before the Reddit court
The Asian delivery driver was visibly upset after OP's son made a stereotypical joke about him.
OP made her son read out a written apology to the delivery driver
However, OP's husband felt the punishment didn't fit the crime
Here's how the Reddit community reacted to the story:
Hubby needs a lesson in discipline
"It's part of the problem."
"You did right by your son by turning that around and showing him that his attitudes and “jokes” are the real embarrassment."
"NTA Your husband's attitude is precisely the problem and is why systemic racism continues to propigate in this country."
"You held him accountable for his actions. What he said was not funny, it was wildly inappropriate and also hurtful."
"Asking a teenager to apologize to someone they were extremely rude to is baseline responsible parenting."
"You 100% held him accountable and that delivery driver deserved an apology."
"NTA. My God, set up a parenting school or start a magazine or something!"
"Your husband however seems like he condones that kind of humor and chances are your son picked it up from him."
"NTA...You handled your son’s misbehavior appropriately."
"I can understand why he might think that was just one step too far. I think his opinion as your son's father is valid, as well as your opinion as his mother."
"It's one thing to tell your son not to make jokes like that. It's way over the top to force him read out a public apology as if he's being forced to publicly confess like a political prisoner in a totalitarian state."
"As someone who has faced that EXACT racist joke more times than I can count, I think you did exactly the right thing."
The Reddit community is entirely on OP’s side. According to them, racism of any kind should never be condoned, and we agree with them.
Some commenters even tagged OP’s husband as an AH alongside her son, while others shared similar experiences.
