Tesla Cybertruck’s Latest Incident Uncovers a Concerning Vulnerability
A recent incident involving a Tesla Cybertruck in Atlanta, Georgia, has raised serious concerns among owners and potential buyers alike. The vehicle, known for its futuristic design and rugged durability, was the target of a burglar who easily bypassed its security features.
The break-in, shared by the vehicle's owner, Anuj Thakker, has highlighted a significant flaw in the Cybertruck’s supposedly shatter-resistant glass, leaving many questioning the reliability of Tesla’s promises.
Thakker, who discovered the break-in a few days ago, took to Facebook to share his unsettling experience. According to his post, the burglar managed to break into the Cybertruck without triggering any alarms or notifications.
Thakker wrote, “No Alarm, No Notifications to my phone... literally nothing happened just found it like this...” This revelation is particularly alarming, as the Cybertruck is marketed with advanced security features that are supposed to protect against such incidents.
The break-in was captured on the Cybertruck’s camera, showing a hooded individual exiting a red sedan parked next to the vehicle. The burglar first inspected the Cybertruck before retrieving a tool from the car. With the tool in hand, the thief successfully popped open the driver-side window, causing the glass to shatter.
However, the window remained mostly intact due to its laminated layers, a design intended to prevent the glass from completely breaking. The burglar then peeled the window down and reached inside to grab an unattended backpack before quickly fleeing the scene.
This incident is a rude awakening for Cybertruck owners who believed in the vehicle's robust security features, including the shatter-resistant armor glass.
Tesla has heavily promoted the Cybertruck as a virtually indestructible vehicle, capable of withstanding significant impacts. However, Thakker’s experience reveals a glaring vulnerability that should alarm any current or prospective owner.
