Rescued Adorable Kitten Brothers Fail To Get Adopted Because They Are Blind

The Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) rescued two kittens, Arthur and Gabriel, from a construction site. They were both rescued separately and at different times.

When they rescued the second kitten from the same site, they realized that it might be a sibling of the kitten who was already in their care. They were very happy to be able to reunite the two brothers.

While it could be for any reason, it is most likely due to cat flu that both of the rescued kittens are blind. Due to the nature of the disease, their eyes were removed to prevent further harm.

The two kittens share many habits in common, and therefore, they are also looking to be adopted together.

Due to their disability, they haven't been able to attract any family to adopt them.

Although they are both extremely adorable, despite their blindness, Arthur and Gabriel are amazing kittens, and they are sure to be a wonderful addition to any family that adopts them.

"Arthur and Gabriel are adorable, friendly, and loving kittens who, after all they have been through, truly deserve to find a special home," said Sophie Moran-Barker, the re-homing coordinator for the RSPCA Cat Hub, in a press release. "We worry that potential adopters have been put off because the kittens lost their eyes, but being blind does not stop them from leading a full and exciting life!"

No one can tell at first sight that these kittens are blind.

Once they are accustomed to their surroundings, it is extremely difficult to tell that they have lost their eyes. They manage everything very well and are as playful as any other cat of their age.

Arthur is the naughtiest of the two and often finds himself in the wrong places. Gabriel, on the other hand, is quite docile and loves cuddling up with his best friend.

Gabriel and Arthur are very friendly, so adjusting to a household that already has cats will not be a problem for them at all.

Initially, they may require a little help to adjust to their environment, but in the long run, they just need a family that is compassionate towards their situation.

"They will need an understanding and experienced owner who will be able to spend time with the kittens and provide them with lots of toys and enrichment," Moran-Barker shared.

"Their new home will be strange to them at first, and they will need to orient themselves, so their feeding bowls, beds, and litter trays must always be in the same place. This way, they will know where they are and can use these as reference points to get around more easily."

Let's hope Arthur and Gabriel won't have to wait too long to get adopted.
