I Bet You Didn't Know Your Chicken Needs A Harness Or That You Can Buy Them On Amazon

by Elana

Yesito is a business/seller on Amazon that you could really only describe as "unique." There aren't a lot of items in their shop but it's not the tape measures or the aprons that catch your eye (although they seem quite lovely, no shade.) It's the harnesses... for the chickens... being modelled by chickens. Yes, you read that correctly. Have you ever used a pet harness for your dog or cat? It's just like that, except for chickens.

People do a lot of unusual things for and to their pets, mostly harmless in nature (thankfully.) I once knew someone who carried her guinea pig with her absolutely everywhere in a baby car-seat, bundled cozy warm in some baby blankets. So, it's hard to think that some fine folks are too "out there" if they're taking their beloved chickens on neighborhood strolls thanks to the use of colorful and adorable chicken harnesses.

Just look at these beauties.

(The chickens or the harnesses, that's up to you to decide.)

This is a happy looking chicken, strutting her stuff in her fabulous harness. Do you want to know why she's so happy? Because that harness is easily adjustable to her specific dimensions, of course, so it's a comfortable fit. Yesito says:

No more feeling uncomfortable. You will not worry that the chicken will get rid of harness when walking the chicken at street.

But wait, there's more. They also say:

Teach your fowls to walk on a leash and find your peace of mind again.

Each harness and leash is made from durable and breathable mesh fabric. It's quality enough to withstand daily usage, for those important daily chicken walks. Even better? Each vest comes in a variety of colors and every single vest option comes with three, that's right three, sets of bowties.

The vests range in price (by size and color) from $15.99 USD - $17.99 USD, which realistically speaking... that's not bad at all for a safety harness.

The company also advertises that your chicken's fancy new fest comes with:

A storage bag as gift: it not only holds chicken harness. but also accommodates the articles such as keys, coins, lipsticks and even iphone8.

The real question is, can my kids walk the chicken? Yesito says:

Warm Prompt: Children under the age of 3 shall use the product under adults’ supervision and wear the Chicken Harness with adults’ help. Please take measures to prevent from being pecked in eyes and face when using the product.

One Amazon user who purchased a Yesito Chicken Harness left a stunning review:

I have a favorite hen that I can't resist holding because she's so fluffy and soft and now I'm able to take her for a walk. It took less than a minute for her to get use to it. Lol I let her take the lead while she investigated around my yard. Happy chickens lay happy eggs.

One of the apron styles Yesito carries that we briefly mentioned earlier is the perfect egg-collecting apron, so they're staying on topic for the most part.

Some people inquired about whether or not their ducks could wear the harness and the answer is yes! Yesito themselves answered a customer question with:

Yes, the medium size is suitable for 3.8-4.9 pounds. Chicken, duck or goose. If your chicken, duck or goose is more than 4.9 pounds, please buy our "Large Size"

Truly, have you ever seen a more dapper and happy looking duck? I think not.

Yes, people are indeed buying these for their chickens and they're loving them, too!

Naturally, Facebook cannot keep their laughter to themselves.

Once the chicken harness really began to make rounds, everyone had jokes to crack.

Naturally, Facebook cannot keep their laughter to themselves.

Quite frankly, these jokes are better than "why did the chicken cross the road," so I'm not even mad.

Anyway, if your chicken (or duck or goose) needs a harness of their own, you can grab one for yourself right here.
