Holly Fae is a super talented artist. She's also a massive fan of Disney and all its princesses.

One day, out of nowhere, Holly came up with a brilliant idea! She decided to recreate one of her favorite Disney princesses - Elsa.

However, Holly's idea was not to transform Elsa into something completely different. Instead, Holly wanted to create a more realistic version of the much-loved Frozen princess.

Holly used the Procreate app on her iPad to re-imagine what Elsa would look like with more realistic proportions. When she was finished, she shared her work to TikTok, and you guessed it; the post went viral!

The video's success inspired Holly to create an entire series of re-imagined princesses. Since then, at her followers' requests, she has given makeovers to Belle, Rapunzel, Moana, and Jasmine, to name a few.

“From the time I was a little girl, I was deeply fascinated by all things magical, fairies, mermaids, dragons, and more!” Holly says on her Etsy page.

“I have also loved to draw, paint, and a craft for as long as I can remember, and now I would like to make things that can bring joy, wonder, and a little bit of magic to everyone else.”

“I love Disney movies, they were a huge influence while I was growing up,” Holly said.

“I got very curious to see what she might look like with proportions similar to the classic 2D princesses, so I started transforming and recording the process,” she said of her original Elsa piece.

“Before I knew it, the video had gone viral, and people were requesting other princesses, so it just turned into a fun project from there!”

“I’m not making a commentary on Disney proportions, I’m just doing it out of curiosity and a desire to bring some fun to people’s day!” Holly said.

“The initial Elsa video was really on a whim, but since that one, I’ve put a lot of care into each transformation, especially in the case of Moana and Jasmine. I spent lots of time looking at photos of women of their ethnicities because I wanted to get the features right.”

“I plan to finish all the Disney princesses, maybe a few other characters, and do other franchises like How to Train your Dragon or even anime characters,” Holly says.

“As of right now, Tiana is next, followed by Mulan and Snow White.”
