Family Dog Helped This High School Graduate Recreate 'First Day Of School' Photo On Graduation Day
There are many things in life dogs help us do, and getting through the good, the bad, and the ugly is definitely one of those dog things! Graduating in 2020 isn't what anyone could have possible expected. high school graduation is mean to be a big deal!
It's emotional, it's formative, it's a right of passage... and right now, it's mostly been happening over Zoom. Yes, graduating via web-cam.
Many grads of both high school and college have noted that this style of graduation has really gotten them down and that finishing school amidst the Corona Virus pandemic has totally dampened the entire experience. Luckily, one grad (and his mother) have provided us with some seriously sweet news to pull us out of the Corona slump.
A then and now photo with his pet dog, Ruger. Like I said, dogs pull us through the hard stuff and this dog is no exception.
Beware, this is by far the cutest dog moment you'll probably see all week, and we see a lot of darling dog moments!
Coris Bliss, a mother and proud pet owner, recently shared some images of her family dog, Ruger, who her family adopted over 10 years ago.

Corie's son Dylan and newly adopted puppy Ruger formed a fast bond.
Ruger has been around for pretty much all of Dylan's major life events, including his very first day of school.
Corie was recently going through old photos.
She shared, "I was looking at old pics, and came across Dylan's first day of first grade pic with Ruger, when Ruger was a puppy...I wanted to recreate the picture the night of his high school graduation."
Here is the gorgeous photo Corie recreated.

Bliss said looking at the photo made her very emotional
She described "Lots of running mascara... so many memories."
Her son Dylan agreed. "Having Ruger with me throughout school was great. No matter what grade I was in, I always have memories of coming home and getting greeted by Ruger at the door."
If that story doesn't make you feel good, I don't know what will!
