Supatra “Natty” Sasuphan, once known as the world’s hairiest girl, endured ridicule and fear from classmates because of her distinctive appearance.

When Natty was born, her mother faced resistance from the hospital staff when she wanted to leave. Concerned that she might abandon her child due to her unusual appearance, the doctors hesitated to release them. However, Natty's mother reassured them, stating firmly that she would never leave her child behind. She expressed gratitude for having Natty as part of their family.

Growing up, Natty experienced the warmth of a loving family, but not everyone outside her home understood her condition. She encountered unkindness from both strangers and peers, but she persevered nonetheless.

As Natty grew older, her face remained concealed behind a thick layer of hair, a result of her incurable Ambras syndrome. Despite attempts with conventional methods like laser removal, her hair growth persisted. At school, she endured ridicule due to her distinctive appearance, being taunted with hurtful names such as “wolf girl” and “monkey face.”

However, Natty didn't comprehend why she was the target of such mockery. To her, she was just a regular girl with a bit more hair. She confidently asserted, "It's the way I am."

Natty's teacher, Kuljira Posaeng, disclosed that initially, other children were intimidated by Natty's appearance, making her early school years challenging. However, as time passed, Natty demonstrated that she was no different from any other student. Teachers praised her for being hardworking and achieving good grades, and eventually, she emerged as one of the most popular students in school.

Natty's teachers described her as a vibrant girl who had a passion for singing, dancing, and acting. Despite her unique appearance due to Ambras syndrome, her parents treated her no differently than any other child. They ensured she felt valued and included, taking her everywhere without any sense of embarrassment about her appearance differing from other children.

Natty has accepted her condition, acknowledging that there's no cure for it. She made the decision to embrace her body hair as it naturally grew from birth, only opting to shave her face when she reached adolescence.
