Annoying 'Karen' Claims That Because "Pants Don't Block Fart Smell", She Doesn't Have To Wear A Mask
I've always thought that the virus itself was the worst part about this pandemic, but apparently, it's definitely not. I would much rather get the coronavirus than have to deal with an angry Karen who doesn't understand facts and logic.
A precautionary measure as small as wearing a mask is somehow making so many people angry, and they're unfortunately quite vocal about it. The US is still leading the world in COVID cases and deaths, yet so many Americans think that this is all a huge conspiracy aimed at reducing the ‘freedoms’ they usually enjoy.
Out of all the arguments out there, a women who has been dubbed a 'Karen' managed to come up with the best one yet. She claims that because "Pants don’t block fart smell", she doesn't have to wear a mask. How can you even argue with that reasoning?
Here's a video showing what happened:
The video was filmed on Monday, July 20 by William See in a Panera Bread branch in Chico, California.
The unmasked woman was refused service for not wearing a face covering, so she asks: ‘So you’re not going to serve me because I’m not wearing a mask?’ to which William replies: ‘No, they’re not going to serve you because you’re not wearing a mask, that’s exactly right.’

The woman is seen in the video holding a face mask throughout the whole argument, so she definitely just wanted to make a statement. The mask was actually given to her by staff.
Henry, an employee from the eatery told Newsweek:
‘After she left, she threatened to come back with her husband. She was provided a disposable mask by us, which is shown in the video, but she refused to put it on.’
As if things couldn't get more childish, the woman started to blow at William and his friend while laughing before leaving the store. William then says: ‘Oh come on, come on you child, grow the f* up lady.’
The woman argues that if pants can't conceal the smell of a fart then a mask can't protect you from an invisible virus.

William tells her as she was exiting the store: ‘Just grow up, grow up and get out. Thank you!’ Security was called while the video was being filmed, but by the time they arrived, she was long gone.
After the video was posted on William’s Facebook, a Panera Bread spokesperson explained that ‘the health and safety of our employees and guests is our top priority’.

In the end, regardless of your beliefs, solving problems should always be done in a polite and rational manner.
