It's easy to applaud the directors, producers, and even the costume designers, but what most people overlook is the sheer talent of casting directors for finding just the perfect actor for a certain character—especially when they are choosing between actors that are just starting out.
Casting directors will take into consideration the acting styles, physique, originality, creativity, and listening skills of an aspiring actor to decide if they are fit for a role or not. One satisfying aspect and a clear sign that the casting directors did their job right is seeing an on-screen family actually looking like a family. Take the actor of Adam Groff and his dad, the principal, in Netflix's Sex Education, for example—it's hard to believe that they aren't actually related in real life because, well look at their faces, especially the nose!
