Retired Marine Teaches PE To Enthusiastic Neighborhood Kids During Quarantine
Having schools close has really shook communities. A lot of parents find the relationship with education mutually beneficial, our kids are getting taught and we have the time we need to attend to the home or our jobs. With strict social distancing guidelines implemented in March and extending to the end of the school year, parents found themselves home with their kids, many attempting to juggle working from home and "homeschooling."
It has not been easy. A typical homeschooling family would get out of the house, a lot. They'd go to museums and parks. Our kids are virtual learning and it's a whole different ballpark. One community decided to come together, co-op their homeschooling! They created something pretty cool.
Hunkered down at home himself, Michael Haz noticed something... peculiar going on in his neighborhood.

Tweeting from the comfort and safety of his home, he shared his view of the neighborhood homeschooling co-op PE teacher: a retired marine.

Don't worry, it's not a scene from Full Metal Jacket. The teacher and the kids are loving it.

What's the best part about a mini military work out? The chanting, of course.

Caught up in the moment, Michael joined in and created a rhyme of his own to share with his Twitter feed.

Naturally, Twitter uses were equally enthralled by Haz's tweets and joined in.

Each tweet contrinbuting to something bigger, better... more hilarious.

Hard Same

Oh snap.

Such a BORE

Even other PE teachers chimed in: hey, you may think this is funny but it works.

Good to know.

Fond Memories.

He kept it clean for the kids.

Memorable as HECK

Oh yes, naturally.

With all this chaos and unknown, some structutre is good.

Not so wild of an idea, is it?

Imaginations running wild, y'all.

Of course as soon as the original tweets were shared to Imgur, users continued the chant.

A little bit of this, and a little bit of that.

That... went off the deep end.
