Transgender Actors And Actresses Are Making Waves In The Movie Industry, And Here Are Some Of Them

In our world today, cinema and TV are turning out to be more comprehensive, inclusive, and different than we knew them to be before. We are beginning to see an ever-increasing number of transgender individuals in leading and supporting jobs.

There are some people you may meet and even become friends with along the way, but you won't know they are transgender until they tell you. We can also see that transgender individuals all over the world now have people who represent them on screen, and they can see themselves in different stories being told by trans actors and entertainers who are talented.

What's much more valuable is that a good number of them open up and talk about their gender transition journey, and this goes a long way towards supporting and inspiring individuals out there who face the same types of difficulties. It helps them know that they are not alone in their struggles and that they will be fine.

Elliot Page is a Canadian actor and producer assigned as a female at birth in 1987. He was known professionally as Ellen until Elliot announced his transition on Twitter in 2020.
