Hilarious Cat Pics From “Cat Video Calls” Actually Seem Pretty Naughty
Cats have a way of showing up in every corner of life, and the internet has never really complained about it. From sleepy loafs to dramatic poses, feline photos keep finding new ways to go viral.
This time, the joke is built around video calls and cat behavior, with people turning awkward pet photos into playful little scenes. The result is a mix of silly, suggestive, and very internet-friendly cat content that feels oddly perfect for the moment.
And once the first few pictures land, it is hard not to keep scrolling.

It appears that most of the hilarious content online belongs to our adored feline friends, as if the internet were invented so that people could share their cat pictures. Why is that?
Viral specialist Matt Smith, the co-founder of the Viral Factory, thinks it is partially because cats are so acrobatic. “Properly nourished cats and kittens love to jump and play around, and so, on a basic level, they are very entertaining to watch. They climb, balance, and perform amazing feats. We are mesmerized by their agility.”
That explanation fits the internet pretty well.
This matches the man who strapped a camera to his cat to film playful adventures.

Looking back, we can see that taking videos and photos of pets has always been popular, but it really took off in the ’80s with the introduction of affordable and easy-to-use cameras.
Matt says that “Back then, owners filmed their pets and would show the footage perhaps to their immediate family or a few friends, but now people share their cat videos, hoping they will become internet sensations.”
And now the whole thing is basically a competition for the funniest cat pose.
