Hilarious Cat Pics From “Cat Video Calls” Actually Seem Pretty Naughty

by Damjan

There's no denying that our cats insert themselves into every nook and cranny of our lives. That's not a complaint, we love our cats, we're just stating a well-known cat fact.

200 million people are video chatting on Zoom each day, so it has become part of our everyday life. And many of them admit that they spend more time talking with their friends and family than they used to do face to face.

So, something good may come of this situation after all – it may even make us closer than we were before! And with video calls, I don’t know why, but somehow there are always cats involved…

This time people have thought of a fun pass time activity involving our cat's shenanigans (or at least inspired by our silly kitties.) They take a photo of a cat in an “awkward” position, place it in a frame, and then ad a picture of a cat “stunned” by the “hot” pose.

It appears like most of the hilarious stuff online belongs to our adored feline friends. As if the internet was invented so that people could share their cat pictures. Why is that?

Viral specialist Matt Smith, the co-founder of the Viral Factory, thinks it is partially since cats are so acrobatic. “Properly nourished cats and kittens love to jump and play around, and so, on a basic level, they are very entertaining to watch. They climb and balance and perform amazing feats. We are mesmerized by their agility.”

Looking back, we can see that taking videos and photos of pets was always popular, but it really went off in the ’80s with the introduction of affordable and easy to use cameras.

Matt says that “Back then, owners filmed their pets and would show the footage perhaps to their immediate family or a few friends, but now people share their cat videos, hoping they will become internet sensations.”
