As an Australian travelling abroad, I became familiar with the cutest little creatures that we do not have down under squirrels. Sure, we have a lot of cool animals, but kangaroos and koalas are rarely found wandering the suburbs like squirrels do.

Squirrels are often quite tame, venturing near humans to try and scam their way into getting snacks by being as cute as anything. It usually works.

Perhaps, due to the novelty of squirrels, I am biased—but I think they might have a place in my top ten favourite animals. Check out this selection of cute and funny squirrel pictures to see why they are the best!
