Creative Artist Turns 'Avatar: The Last Airbender' Characters Into Cats And It's Pawsome
If you have Netflix in North America, you may have noticed that its Nickelodeon partnership includes Avatar: The Last Airbender, the animated series that still has a huge fan following years after it first aired. The show, along with Avatar: The Legend of Korra, continues to inspire fan art, and artist Angelica H. Thomas, who works as Artzipants Illustrations, joined in with a playful twist. She created a series called "Catvatar," turning beloved Avatar characters into illustrated cats, and the results are as charming as they sound.
From Aang to Zuko, the lineup gives each character a feline makeover that still feels true to the original cast. It is the kind of fan art that makes longtime viewers stop and smile.
And once you see Kitty Korra, the whole collection starts to make even more sense.
