50-Pound Dog Has Found A Hilarious Way To Enter The Children's Room Despite The Baby Gate Being In The Way
Jaime Cedarlin thought she had a simple baby gate problem, until her 50-pound dog Cassi found a way to turn it into a very funny one. The six-month-old schnauzer-poodle mix had already settled into life in Tualatin, Oregon, and clearly had no trouble making herself at home.
Like any parent, Jaime wanted the children's room to stay off-limits at certain times, but Cassi kept finding ways to get in on the action. The gate even had a small cat flap for the family cat, Nonni, which made the whole setup even more interesting.
So Jaime decided to test just how Cassi was getting through. The answer was smaller, and funnier, than anyone expected.
Here is the clip of Cassi successfully entering the children's room, despite the pet gate.
Jaime took some salami to entice Cassi from the other side of the baby gate to see exactly how Cassi would enter. She whistled and waved the salami to get the dog's attention.
She asked her children to stay with her on the other side of the gate, so they waited together for the moment when the playful dog would discover her method. Finally, this giant fluffy dog, weighing around 50 pounds, slipped through a tiny cat flap and got the salami.
The parents were so surprised when they saw how Cassi enters the children's room.
Jaime and her husband started to laugh, realizing that the pet barrier wouldn't stop their adorable dog from getting into the children's room.

It also reminds us of the moving day mistake, when the couple let their dog roam free.
They were impressed with how Cassi found her way in; she's one clever dog.
Jaime said, "I'm not even mad, just impressed."
And she joked about Cassi, saying: "It turns out she's 70% floof, 30% liquid canine. Is that why they're called 'water dogs'?"

Cassi was adopted a week before the clip was filmed and seems to have quickly fitted into her new home.
The pet owners were hoping the pet gate would stop their pets from accessing the children's bedroom, but now they see that it wouldn't work.

It is a known fact that dogs, regardless of their breed, love children and act protectively and friendly toward them. You have probably heard before how a dog and a kid can be inseparable friends, but this particular story has its own charm.
We love our pets, but there are some circumstances when we have to forbid them from doing something or going somewhere. Just like we do with our children, it is inevitable.

And Cassi, it turns out, was never going to let a baby gate slow her down.
