Adorable Photos Of Dogs In Photobooths Acting Like Humans
Some photo shoots are carefully planned, and then there are the ones that turn into pure dog comedy. Photographer Lynn Terry mixed vintage style with rescue pups and ended up with a photo booth project that made the internet stop and stare.
What began as a test with old curtains and a few pit bulls quickly turned into something much bigger. The dogs were packed into a small booth, and instead of looking awkward, they acted like they had been posing for years.
That lucky accident led to viral photos, a book, and plenty more dogs squeezing into the frame.

After graduating college, Terry earned a Fine Arts degree with a major in photography. She then got a job at an advertising photo studio.
"I didn't have pets as a child," she says. "I was given a dog for my birthday in college. I started using my pet as my subject a lot. I was so smitten with her and wanted to do more for rescue dogs. I began fostering for a small local rescue group and taking photos. This was back when neither taking photos for rescue groups nor iPhones were a thing."
And if you love pets stealing the spotlight, these photobombing pets stole the show from their owners.

A lot of the charm comes from how naturally the dogs settle into the booth.

For her book, Terry tried to focus on all the different breeds and mixed breeds. She received a lot of help from animal rescues. "I tried to work with siblings who lived in the same home. It's sort of a big ask to put two strangers in a space together, human or four-legged," Terry says. "Most often, if I tried that, there was no real chemistry."
It usually takes her about an hour to complete one photo session. It starts by putting the dogs inside the booth and giving them rewards. If the dogs become uneasy or confused, they receive more treats. Then they try again.
That setup is part patience, part treat strategy.
