This Artist's Drawing Shows A World Composed Entirely Of Delightfully Fluffy Cats
Kamwei Fong’s fluffy cat drawings have a way of turning an entire scene into something soft, strange, and oddly calming. The Malaysian artist started The Furry Thing in 2009, years before he fully stepped into professional art, after spending nearly two decades working in branding, design, and advertising.
His Wonderfurryland series keeps that same playful energy, using only black micro pigment ink to build a world where every detail seems to purr. The result is a landscape packed with cats, from the mountains to the moon, and it only gets more charming the longer you look.
One piece in particular shows just how far his imagination can go.
The original piece is about 25 x 37 inches.

Every single element in the illustration is a cat, including the mountain, sun, and moon.

Fong describes the illustrated world as "a fun, peaceful, and wonderful place, a paradise for all kitties to play and live in."

Some cats slumber peacefully, some hide, some play, and others are doing what cats do best: getting into trouble.

The design required more than two weeks to sketch and about a month to illustrate in ink.

"The artist builds each feline form using innumerable short, thin lines, varying the density of the marks to create volume as well as a palpable sense of furriness."

The attention to detail is doing a lot of the heavy lifting here.
Kamwei's incredible work has been featured at exhibitions at Salon des Beaux Arts in Paris.

His work has also been featured at Art Expo Malaysia in Kuala Lumpur.

"Currently, his original art pieces, art prints, and ceramic sculptures can be found in Galerie Club Sensible in Paris, France."

To date, he has sold over 3,100 pieces on Etsy alone.

He has nearly 200k followers on Instagram.
