Family Sets Up Secret Camera To Find The Culprit Behind Things Falling Off The Kitchen Counter
Wookie and Kya may be siblings, but their personalities could not be more different. One stays calm and reserved, while the other is playful, energetic, and apparently always ready to stir up trouble.
So when things kept falling off the kitchen counter at home, their parents had a pretty good guess about who was responsible. Kya seemed like the obvious suspect, especially with her reputation for mischief, but the mystery was not as simple as it looked.
A hidden camera eventually revealed the real culprit, and the answer surprised everyone. Read on.

“When we cook and stuff, a lot of the time we put the food right there, and Kya will put her front paws up on the counter and try to smell or get a lick in there if she can, but we’ve never actually seen her climb fully up,” the dogs’ mom, Rahma Keene, said.
“But when I saw the vase knocked over, I was like, OK, Kya is moving her little nose around and knocked the flowers over because she’s the adventurous one, and Wookie has never even looked at the counter!
Then there started to be bigger messes that couldn’t be explained, or we’d see actual footprints on the counter, and we honestly shamed Kya a few times before we started joking about what if we were shaming the wrong dog.”

Although they were sure that it was Kya making all the mess, they still wanted to confirm it.
So, they set up a hidden camera to catch the real culprit.
“I’m at work in Seattle, and Ryker’s at work in Bellingham, and we’re both watching our fun, exciting camera, and all of a sudden, I see WOOKIE IS ON THE COUNTER! I’m freaking out, showing my coworkers and screenshotting as fast as I can.
Little did I know, Ryker was watching it at the same time, having the same unbelievable reaction and screenshotting the picture, and we called each other, screaming, 'WOOKIE'S ON THE COUNTER! WE'VE SHAMED THE WRONG CHILD,'” Keene remarked.
It’s giving the same energy as the smart dog that helped expose a rude, toxic babysitter.

What was astonishing for them was the fact that Kya had no role in this at all. She was innocently sleeping, unaware of what her brother was doing.
It was also surprising that Wookie had let Kya take that reprimand from their parents.

“The entire time, Kya is sleeping on her dog bed,” Keene said. “We felt soooooooooo bad for shaming Kya, but Wookie just does not behave that way. He is so dignified and mellow that we truly didn’t think he would ever attempt to get on the counter!”

Since they know the culprit now, they tell Wookie to get down from the counter every time they catch her on the camera. Hearing their voices from the camera, she defies them and continues loitering on the counter.
Also, his parents think that he is otherwise very well-behaved, so they let him have this little fun.
“We now just make sure the counter is clear because it’s Wookie's world, and we’re just living in it to please him,” Keene shared.
